ACID BLUE 113

Acid Blue 113 is a water-soluble disazo dye used in the textile, leather, and paper industries. The dye appears as a dark powder that is navy blue in solution and has applications in coloring various fibers like wool, silk, and nylon, as well as in products like soaps and detergents.

Applications

o  Textile dyeing (wool, silk, polyamide, cotton, and polyester)

o  Leather and paper coloring

o  Coloring soaps, detergents, and industrial cleaning products.

Properties

  Light fastness: 4.5 to 6-7

  Washing fastness: 4 to 5

   Perspiration fastness: 4.5 to 5

   Rubbing fastness: Good

Handling and storage

 Ventilation: Handle in a well-ventilated area with local exhaust               ventilation to control airborne dust.

 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear chemical splash-                   resistant safety goggles or glasses, chemical-resistant gloves, and       protective clothing to prevent skin contact.

 Hygiene: Wash hands thoroughly before breaks and immediately          after handling the product. Avoid eating, drinking, or smoking in the       handling area.

 Dust Control: Take measures to prevent the formation of dust and        aerosols. 

 Conditions: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, out of            direct sunlight.
