Direct Red 81

Direct Red 5BL is a water-soluble, azo dye used primarily in the textile industry for colouring cellulosic fibers like cotton, linen, and rayon. It is available in powder form, is easy to apply and provides vibrant red shades. The dye offers good light fastness but typically has poor wash fastness.

Applications

  Textile Dyeing: Primarily used for dyeing natural fibers like cotton,         silk, and wool, as well as rayon and hosiery.

  Other Uses: Also used for dyeing paper and leather.

Handling

Direct dyes are applied in a slightly alkaline dye bath, often near boiling point. They are known for easy handling and metering, especially when used in liquid concentrate form.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry location below 30C30 raised to the composed with power cap   C30to maintain its shelf life of 24 months.
