Direct Red 31

Direct Red 12B, also known as Direct Red 31, is a bright red, water-soluble, industrial-grade dye used for textiles and paper. It is applied to cellulose fibers like cotton and viscose, and its properties include decent wash and light fastness.

Applications

 Textile Dyeing: Primarily used for dyeing cotton, viscose, silk, and          polyamide fibers and their blends.

 Paper Coloring: Can be used for coloring paper pulp.

 Other Uses: Suitable for various processing industries. 

Fastness properties

  Light fastness: 2-3

  Washing fastness: 3-4

  Rubbing fastness: Moderate

  Prespiration fastness: 3

Handling 

 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear safety glasses, dust masks/respirators, gloves, and protective clothing to avoid skin/eye contact and inhalation.

Ventilation: Work in well-ventilated areas or use local exhaust ventilation to control airborne dust.

Storage

  Environment: Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight        and moisture.

 Containers: Keep in tightly sealed, original containers to prevent          caking and contamination.
