Direct Brown 2

Direct Brown MR is an industrial-grade dye, typically supplied as a brown powder, used primarily for textiles like cotton, wool, and silk, as well as for paper and leather. It is water-soluble and provides good light and wash fastness.

Applications

  Textiles: Dyeing cotton, viscose, and silk fibers.

  Paper: Dyeing paper pulp and finished paper products.

  Leather: Used for leather coloration. 

Properties

  Light fastness: Good

  Washing fastness: Good

  Rubbing fastness: Excellent

  Prespiration fastness: Moderate

Handling 

o   Use with adequate ventilation to minimize dust generation and             accumulation.

o   Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing.

o   Avoid ingestion and inhalation.

o   Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including         an approved respirator, chemical safety goggles, and rubber                 gloves.

o  Wash thoroughly after handling.

Storage

o  Store in a cool, dry place.

o  Keep containers tightly closed to preserve in tight and light-                  resistant containers.

o  Store away from incompatible materials, such as strong oxidizing        agents and strong reducing agents.
