Direct Blue 86

The term Direct Turquoise Blue G refers to a specific industrial chemical dye, also known as Direct Blue 86. It is primarily used for dyeing cellulose fibers (like cotton, viscose rayon, and flax), as well as leather and paper. 

Basic details of Direct Turquois Blue G

Applications

  Textiles: The most common use is for dyeing cotton, jute, viscose           rayon, and acetate fibers. It is also used in textile printing.

   Paper and Pulp: It is used for coloring paper products.

   Leather: This dye is used in the leather industry to impart color.

  Other materials: Applications include coloring plastics, rubber, and     wood.

  Light fastness: 6-7

  Washing fastness: 4-5

   Rubbing fastness: 4-5

   Prespiration fastness: 3-4

Handling 

  Ventilation: Handle in a well-ventilated area, using local exhaust           ventilation or process enclosures to control airborne levels.

   Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear gloves, safety glasses,       and a respirator.

   Dust Control: Avoid the formation and inhalation of dust.

Storage

  Location: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area.

  Container: Keep in tightly closed, light-resistant containers to                 protect from moisture and light.

   Temperature: Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight.

   Labeling: Affix appropriate labels to all containers.
